What it measures

Five things that decide whether AI helps or hurts

AI amplifies whatever is already true about your business. These are the five areas that decide which direction it amplifies in — and the ones the score weighs.

Data Foundation & Governance

Copilot and any business AI are only as safe and useful as the data and permissions behind them. Scattered files and grown-organically access are the most common blocker.

25 of 100 points

Security & Identity

AI amplifies whatever security posture already exists. Weak identity does not stay the same size once AI is layered on top of it — it gets magnified.

25 of 100 points

Microsoft 365 & Tooling

Your licensing decides what AI is even available to you, and which controls come with it. This is usually the cheapest gap to close.

20 of 100 points

People & Policy

Shadow AI and a missing use policy are the most common exposure we find in small businesses. The tools are already in the building.

15 of 100 points

Use Cases & Process

Readiness is not only about safety. Knowing which work AI should take off your team's hands is what turns it from a cost into a return.

15 of 100 points

11 questions in total. Every answer is multiple choice, and none of them is wrong — the score only reflects where you actually are today.

FAQ

Assessment questions, answered

What is an AI Readiness Score?

It is a 0–100 measure of how prepared your business is to use AI safely and get value from it. NSN Management calculates it from 11 questions across five areas: data foundation and governance, security and identity, Microsoft 365 and tooling, people and policy, and use cases and process. You see your score, your score in each area, and your top priorities immediately.

How long does the assessment take?

About two minutes. There are 11 multiple-choice questions and no free-text fields.

Do I have to give my email to see my score?

No. Your score, your breakdown, and your priorities appear as soon as you answer the last question. Contact details are only needed if you want to book a Discovery Call.

Is this a security audit?

No. It is a directional self-assessment based on your own answers, not a formal security or compliance audit. It is designed to show you where to look first, not to certify anything.

What happens on the Discovery Call?

NSN Management turns your score into a one-page action plan — the specific first moves for your business, in plain language — whether or not you ever work with us. Calls run about 15 minutes.
